So - What is h2h marketing again?

I've used the phrase h2h marketing more and more since I invented it last year.

p2p is fine - that's peer to peer stuff - that's how you can get a bit of buzz going within your company. Getting a message out there and using the natural grapevine in a positive way.

But h2h is very cluetrain - it's you as a communications specialist empathising and really getting inside the individual - not thinking in terms of the "target audience" - but connecting on as close to a one to one level as you can.

Don't think staff - or employee - or co-worker - or colleague....

Think human being!

employee engagement...

Hot topic at the moment - I was talking to a colleague at Chemistry Communications today - about messaging and tone of voice for an internal audience - as oppossed to an external marketing audience.

Truth is - the lines are blurring while you watch...

"Internal Advertising" is key.

You have to utilise the skills of graphics, copy, multimedia, audio - whatever you can - to cut through the clutter that is a corporate e-mail box!

So let's test that engagement by putting some permission marketing principles in place.

Let's do a bit of big brother analysis and learn when we do things right and when we cock it up completely!
